
New Board Members Appointed
Gail Roderick and Rob Allen have been appointed by the Sitka Tribe of Alaska Tribal Council to take up the vacancies left by Lillian Young

Our purpose is to assist Sitka Tribal citizens and other Sitka residents in collaboration with other agencies achieve self-sufficiency and pride through affordable housing opportunities. We will increase the safe, sanitary housing stock of modest design through construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation of housing and provide the means to obtain affordable housing through home ownership and rental programs.
If you are an enrolled tribal citizen who has been living in Sitka for at least 15 months, you may eligible for BIHA’s student housing voucher program. This program aims to support low-income families in their post-high school education goals. Students must be attending accredited colleges and vocational schools (including trade schools) as part-time or full-time students in Fall semester of 2026.
