Sheetká X’áat’i Hitx’i is the Tlingit name of our office and means Sitka Island Housing.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to assist Sitka Tribal citizens and other Sitka residents in collaboration with other agencies achieve self-sufficiency and pride through affordable housing opportunities. We will increase the safe, sanitary housing stock of modest design through construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation of housing and provide the means to obtain affordable housing through home ownership and rental programs.

SURVEY

If you are an enrolled tribal citizen living in Sitka, you are eligible to complete the survey for your household and enter the drawing for some great prizes! STA Tribal households are also eligible to complete the survey even if the household is not currently living in Sitka

The position of Summer Groundskeeper performs general maintenance and landscaping duties on BIHA properties and adjacent grounds. Full-time, temporary with a wage of $25/hr.

RECEPTIONIST
