Everyone at BIHA would like to extend a big thank you to David Goade for his 5 years of service as BIHA’s Executive Director. David began working for BIHA in 2015 and retired June 30, 2020. David intends to remain in Sitka with his family after he retires and enjoy the great outdoors.
A Word From David Goade
As you may have heard, I am retiring from BIHA on June 30th. I announced this decision to the BIHA Board of Commissioners earlier this year in order to give them plenty of time to plan for my departure. The Board has since conducted a well-planned recruitment process to find and hire my successor. This process was successful with the recent hiring of Cliff Richter who officially started work at BIHA on June 15th.
It has been my privilege over the past 5 years to serve as BIHA’s Executive Director. The years passed by quickly and it was a very busy time indeed! But now it’s time for me to move on and hand BIHA over to Cliff who I am confident will continue BIHA’s history of success. All our housing programs are operating smoothly and we have the benefits of a well-trained and experienced staff and a supportive Board of Commissioners. We also have the benefits of a very carefully developed Strategic Plan that will guide our future decision-making for the next 5 years. These are all very good reasons to be optimistic about the future success of BIHA. Thank you!
